The Vitamin D supplements must be taken of 10 micrograms i.e; 0.01 mg by pregnancy and breast feeding women whereas children and old age people over 65 must be taken of 7 to 8.5 micrograms i.e; 0.007- 0.0085 mg per day, said by The Department of Health.
Although, by taking Vitamin D pills also not good for health, people also concentrate on their health calcium, diet and maintain a regular exercise, said Dr. Tripkovic.
Taking too much of Vitamin D pills leads to injurious because calcium got heavy boost and damages the kidneys. So, specialist said that people should take not more than 25 micrograms (0.025 mg) a day.
