On Oct 19th 2013, Saturday- Afternoon two workers were strucked and killed by a BART train which was occurred near to the Walnut Greek station at 2p.m.
The workers were involved in working the track inspection when the time of accident happened. The train was being run through full of automatic computer control where we can't slow-down immediately, said BART official.
Although, the two workers had more experience in working with track inspection. The two bodies were found close to the tracks. The other workers were involved strike and one of the workers was in a American Federation of state, County and Municipal Employees Local 3993 members. The three unions concerned in the strike, said the union's president Patricia Schuchardt.
According unions said that safety during the working times of operations is compulsorly must be provided. Most experience person also be provided for this type of transistion. The argument were going on between BART and its unions for transist district employees to avoid these types of accident.
