SOYUZ CARRIES THREE NEW CREW MEMBERS TO INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

On Wednesday (20.31 GMT Tuesday) Soyuz rocket carries three new crew members to ISS launching from Baikonur Cosmodrome at 02.31 local time from Kazakhstan. The three new crew members are Georgian Fyodor Yurchikhin, American karen Nyberg and Italian Luca Parmitano takes off from Soyuz rocket to ISS.

Yurchikhin and Nyberg are two crew members who have already into space before. But Italian Parmitano is first time in space.

The three crew members enter into the orbiting platform six hours later. Soyuz rocket uses new flight figure that suddenly decrease the meeting time from the usual two days.

Vinogrador and Alexander misurkin and American Chris Cassidy will shake their thands with these new crew members. Yurchikhin, Nyberg and Parmitano Luca Parmitano at age of 36 is the youngest person to stay long time in space station. He is also the first person from European Space Agency to get flight assignment.

Parmita selected in 2009 a former pilot will see the vehicles used in space station including the Italian made new Cygus freighter. He is also timed to make two space walk in the space.

Parmitano born in Sicillian town in Italy. Italian chefs made a special food items for Parmitano includes lasagne and risotto .
