TOURISM PLACE ON LIVINGSTONE'S ZAMBIA

A Scottish explorer Dr.David Livingstone who make a first journey across Africa which is from Atlantic to the Indian Ocean. He is one who discovered the Victoria falls on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.

*VICTORIA FALLS:
                                 Victoria falls is one of the world's largest falling water and it measure double of width and height of Niagara
falls which is in the border of Ontario and New York. Before we enter into falls we can able to feel the sound of water falling in the background. It is 2 Km wide and 100 Km tall. Visitors can view the falls from a helicopter or wing plane, at eye level walking. While we visit Victoria falls, before that we can able to see the biggest statue of the Livingstone. Livingstone was the first person come to know about the Victoria falls, said Dr. Lawrence Dristsas, a lecturer at Scotland's University. Livingstone was also wrote about the falls in his book named Missionary Travels and Researches in South Africa. 

*LIVINGSTONE MUSEUM:
                                               It is located about 20 Km from Livingstone town. The colonial-era Livingstone Museum is one of the largest and oldest in Zambia. It is built on 1930, and it gathered information about four countries and culture of the local Bantu
people, archeology, ethnography art and history. It also collect the things like Livingstone's musical instruments, medical equipments, maps and journals and routes he discovered etc.




*LIVINGSTONE ISLAND:
                                         Livingstone Island  was also founded by David Livingstone. First he saw Victoria falls from the Livingstone Island only which is suitated on the Zambezi river on the tip of the falls.
