MERS-CoV INFECTION CAUSED 32 DEATH IN SAUDI ARABIA

In Saudi Arabia, SARS-like MERS-CoV infection called Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus caused nearly 32 people killed. Since, September 2012 around the world 37 people have died for this diseases, says the WHO. A 2 years old child had been hospitalized and in serious condition of suffering from chronic pulmonary diseases in Saudi.

Meaning of MERS-CoV

MERS-CoV is comes under Coronavirus family. It affects the respiratory illness in animals and humans. MERS-CoV is a new type of coronavirus infection.

In 2012, a man became ill with SARS-like symptoms in Saudi Arabia and later he died.

Three months before, a Qatari man affected with SARS-like

symptoms when he travelled to Saudi. He then got treatment under United Kingdom, then came result that he was infected with MERS-CoV.

SARS-like said to be severe acute resipratory syndrome is also a type of coronavirus. It caused nearly 800 people killed. The humans  who die sixty percent affected by MERS-CoV infectiion where tested i.e; about 10% with SARS-CoV. It causes lung infections, caughing, breathing problems and fever. Whereas it also cause kidney failure in humans.

However, it identified by researchers at the Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, the Netherland. MERS-CoV infection comes from bats but it is not confirmed.

The scientist at the Center For Diseases Control and Prevention says that they are waiting for test the samples in MERS-Cov diseases.
